São Paulo – Vehicle sales were down 1.61% in January from a year ago. According to figures made public by the National Federation of Motor Vehicle Distributors (Fenabrave) this Tuesday (4), 298,400 units were sold, from 370,700 a year ago. Month on month, the decline stood at 19.5%.
Automobiles saw the largest drop, down by 5.62% year on year. Fenabrave reports that 154,500 cars were sold in January, a 28.1% month-on-month decline. Motorcycles and trucks posted a positive result. But buses saw a decline in sales.
